Chough Rock

Chough Rock are a family self-publishers based in Cornwall, who specialise in young children’s story books that are inspired by nature. Founded by husband and wife team Martin and Zoë Yelland, they create beautifully illustrated wildlife books that inspire children to explore, appreciate and protect the natural world.

Our beautiful rhyming books make great bedtime stories for children aged 2 – 8 years old, perfect for little animal lovers. The bold artwork for each book is illustrated from the real-life wildlife photography by Author Martin Yelland with the actual photographs featured at the end of each book, making them ideal for any budding birdwatchers or wildlife explorers. These Cornish books encourage children to get outside and spot local birds and animals in the wild!

In 2018 we published our first book ‘Choughs and Chums’ which has been sent all around the world from Cornwall to Australia and Dubai. A few years later we released their second publication ‘Kerra the Kingfisher’. A husband and wife team with two children, Martin writes the books and Zoe illustrates and produces them. Our third book ‘Badger Bill’ was published in support of the Badger Trust. We have just released our fourth book ‘Choughlets and Chums’ which is the sequel to our bestseller ‘Choughs and Chums’.
